The Indian Army is looking for Young Indian Unmarried Male Engineering Degree students studying in Pre-Final Year (III Year) in academic session 2016-17 for Grant of Permanent Commission in the Army. Total 30 Vacancies for Pre-Final Year (PFY) BE/ B.Tech (PFY) candidates of various Engineering branch/stream should apply. The Online registration start from 9th August 2016 and close on 8th September 2016.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates studying in the Pre-Final year (in academic session 2016-17) of the Engineering Course in recognized Universities/ Institution/ Colleges in required subjects will be eligible to apply for 27th University Entry Scheme (Jul 2018) Course.

Age Limit: 18 to 24 years as on 01 Jul 2018. (Candidates born between 02 Jul 1994 and 01 Jul 2000 both dates inclusive).

Physical Standards:
(a) Height & Weight -> The minimum acceptable height and weight for men is 157.5 cms-with correlated weight. In case of candidates belonging to the North East and hilly areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height will be relaxed by 5 cms and weight commensurate with reduced height. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2cms.
(b) Visual Standards -> The minimum acceptable visual acuity are: Distant vision (corrected) better eye 6/6, worse 6/18, Myopia of not more than minus 3.5 including Astigmation. Candidates who have undergone or have evidence for having undergone Radial Karatotomy to improve the visual acuity will be permanently rejected. Candidates who have undergone Lasik Surgery for Correction of reflective error are NOT acceptable.
(c) Permanent Body Tattoos -> Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearm i.e, from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other part of the body are not acceptable and candidates will be barred from further selection. Tribes with tattoos mark on the face or body as per their existing custom and traditions will be permitted on a case to case basis.
(d) To be passed fit, a candidate must be in good physical and mental health free from any disability likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duty.
(e) Prospective candidates are advised to exercise and keep themselves physically fit, in order to avoid any injury due to the rigorous physical training at Indian Military Academy. In order to be able to adjust to the regime there candidates are advised to achieve following standards before joining the IMA, if finally selected:- (a) Running 2.4Km in 15 minutes (b) Push ups - 1 3 Nos (c) Sit ups - 25 Nos (d) Chin ups - 6 Nos (e) Rope climbing - 3-4 metres.


Selection Methods:
(a) All applications as per format of Application Form given in the website are to be forwarded to respective Command Headquarters.
(b) Preliminary selection of prospective candidates studying in the Pre-Final Year ( Engineering) will be made by selection team detailed by Command HQ for holding preliminary interviews at University / Collage.
(c) Candidates are required to be under graduates during the selection process and must be gradates at the time of commencement of the course. Candidates whose University examination pattern does not permit applying for the UES are advised to apply for TGC/SSC (T) commencing at IMA Dehradun/ OTA Chennai in Jan/Apr and Jul/Oct every year. TGC/ SSC (T) courses are being notified in Employment News and other prominent Newspapers in April and Oct i.e. approximately nine months before commencement of TGC course at IMA Dehradun and 12 months before commencement SSC(T)course at OTA Chennai. The decision of DG Recruiting, Army HQ in the matter of shortlisting and forwarding of applications to Selection Centre for SSB interview will be final.
(d) Duration of SSB interviews is five days excluding day of arrival. During their stay at SSB, candidates   are put through Psychological Tests, Group Test and Interviews.
(e) Candidates will be put through stage I of the selection process on the first day. Only successful candidates shall be retained for balance of the testing. Candidates who fail to qualify in stage I will be returned on the first day itself. Stage I are Pshychologically oriented tests including intelligence tests.
(f) Candidates who qualify at the SSB and are found medically fit by a Medica Board will be placed in order of merit. The final selection will be made in the order upto the number of vacancies available at that time.
(g) Pre-Final year candidates will be called in the year of their completion of Degree, subject to their being medically fit at that time depending on availability of vacancies and their position in the merit.
(h) Selected Pre-final year students would be granted Short Service Commission on probation from the date of their joining the final year class.
(j) After successful completion of degree course the candidates finally selected will be admitted for Pre-Commission training at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun for a period of 1 2 months.

Indian Army MNS Recruitment 2016 Application Form



Applications are invited from Female candidates with PG/PB B.Sc/B.Sc Nursing qualification for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Military Nursing Service (MNS). The Online registration start from 18th July 2016 and close on 3rd August 2016.

Qualification and Registration: Should have passed M.Sc (Nursing) / PB B.Sc (Nursing)/ B.Sc (Nursing) from INC recognized University and be a registered Nurse and Midwife from a State Nursing Council (The candidate will be required to bring original and self attested copies of marksheet, passing certificate and valid State Registration certificate at the time of interview).

Emoluments: On completion of the pre-commissioning formalities, the candidates will be granted the rank of Lieutenant with the monthly Basic Pay of ₹ 15,600 + Grade Pay ₹ 5,400/- + Military Service Pay - ₹ 4,200/- + DA and other Allowance as per prevailing rates. Entitled ration, accommodation and allied facilities will also be offered.

Selection Process:

(a) Written test -> Only eligible candidates will be called for a written test to be conducted during the first/ Second week of Sep 2016. The written test of 100 marks will consist of objective type questions based on Nursing, English language and Gen intelligence. There is no negative marking. The OMR based evaluation of the answer sheets will be done at IHQ of MoD (Army) and the result of successful shortlisted candidates will be declared online on the army website with the instructions for interview by fourth week of Sep 2016. Confirmation of the result will be the individual responsibility of the candidates. This Office will not be responsible for informing the result individually.

(b) Interview and medical examination -> A required number (not more than three times of vacancies) of shortlisted candidates of the written test, in the order of merit will be called for interview during the month of Oct 2016 at Delhi. Thereafter, only the candidates who have cleared the interview will be subjected to Medical Examination. The process of interview and medical examination may take 2-5 days. Arrangement for accommodation will be individual responsibility. Only the required number of shortlisted candidates (as per vacancy and merit) who are pronounced medically fit in all respect will be sent call letters to report to the various hospitals in Armed Forces. No correspondence/queries will be entertained. The decision of the Board for written test and interview will be final. Candidates declared FIT/UNFIT will be informed by the President of the Medical board including the procedure of requesting for APPEAL/ REVIEW MEDICAL BOARD. The candidates called for interview will be paid Sleeper class Railway fare from the place of residence to the place of interview/medical examination and back only on submission of the original tickets. The candidate called for interview, if found not in the possession of documents as per eligibility criteria, will be rendered ineligible to appear for the interview and the selection is liable to be cancelled. In such cases no TA will be applicable.

Written examination centres: The written examination will be conducted at Lucknow and Pune during the first/ second week of Sep 2016. The examination date will be intimated on the website at the time of filling of application form. In case a need to add another centre arises due to more number of applicants, then the same will be intimated in Join Indian Army website accordingly.

Indian Army Law Graduate Recruitment 2016



Indian Army Recruitment of JAG Entry Scheme 18th Course APRIL 2017 Short Service Commission (NT) Course for Law Graduates Men and Women. Applications are invited from married / unmarried Male and unmarried Female candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Army for Judge Advocate General Department. Pay & Allowances: All GCs/LCs will be given a stipend of ₹ 21,000/- p.m. On completion of training they will be commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissible to the rank.

Educational Qualification: Minimum 55% aggregate Marks in LLB Degree (three years professional course after graduation or five years course after 10+2 examination). The candidates should be eligible for registration with Bar Council of India/State. Candidate should be from a College/University recognized by Bar Council of India.

Method of Selection:

(a) Initial shortlisting of applications will be done by Recruiting Directorate, Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) and the decision of DG Recruiting will be final. Details of the shortlisted online applications will be put on Join Indian Army website. In this regard no representation will be entertained.

(b) The shortlisted candidates whose applications are found to be correct shall be detailed for SSB interview at allotted Selection Centres on specified dates.

(c) Two Stage Selection Procedure. Two stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test is held at Selection Centres. All the candidates will face stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres. The candidates who fail to pass stage one will be returned on the same day.

(d) Candidates who qualify stage II will submit self attested photocopies of educational documents to Selection Centre for completion of their Dossier/verification.

(e) Candidates who qualify at the Service Selection Board and are found medically fit by a Medical Board, will be placed in the order of merit. The final selection will be made in that order up to the number of vacancies available at that time.
