Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) Recruitment 2016 Aircraft Technician, GET (1343 Vacancies)



Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) invites applications from Indian Nationals for requirement of Aircraft Technician for filling up 961 Vacancies on "Fixed Term Employment basis" (FTE). The last date of receipt of applications is 31st October 2016.

Emoluments: The Aircraft Technician will be under training for a period of One year and would be paid ₹ 15000/- (under revision) during the period of training. On successful completion of training the candidates would be placed as Aircraft Technician and would be paid an all-inclusive emoluments of ₹ 17, 680/- (under revision) per month. The selected candidates would have a career in the Co. when the services are continued with.

Eligibility:

(a) AME Diploma/ Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering from Institutions approved by DGCA under Rule 133B with 60% marks/equivalent grade (55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates). Candidates from DGCA Approved AME Training Institutes as per current list are eligible. (OR)

(b) For Ex-servicemen - Successful completion of Group 1 related equivalent qualification of Diploma in Engineering for Airframe/ Engine/ Electrical/ Instrument/ Radio trades conducted by the Indian Airforce, which are acceptable as qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the eligibility requirement for BAMEL examination. (c) Successful Completion of 4 years course / Diploma in Aircraft/ Electrical/ Instrument/ Radio Artificer training, conducted by Indian Navy, which are acceptable as qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the eligibility requirement for BAMEL examination. (OR)

(d) Successful Completion of 4 years course / Diploma in Aircraft/ Electrical/ Instrument/ Radio Artificer training, conducted by Indian Navy, which are acceptable as qualification by DGCA for fulfilling the eligibility requirement for BAMEL examination.

(e) Diploma in Engineering (3 Years) in Mechanical/ Electrical/Instrumentation/ Electronics and Telecommunication/ Radio Engineering recognised by Central/State Government with 60% marks/ equivalent grade ( 55% or equivalent grade for SC/ST/OBC candidates).

Contract Period: Fixed term contract for an initial period of 05 years, extendable for 05 years period at a time based on requirements of AIESL and performance of the candidate.

Selection Process: Eligible candidates would be required to appear in a Written Test for the post to be conducted in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Age Limit (as on 1st July, 2016): General - Not above 28 years, OBC - Not above 31 years, SC/ST - Not above 33 years, Ex-Servicemen - Upper age limit of 28 years would be relaxed to the extent the candidate has served in a regular post in Army/ Navy/ Air Force before retirement/ release or discharge from such post plus three years.

Emoluments:
Graduate Engineer Trainee - Engineering Support Services -> Stipend of ₹ 25000/- during the first year of training. Thereafter they will be graded as Assistant Engineer, subject to completion of training and performance assessment/ level examination, etc. and will be paid an all inclusive emoluments ranging between ₹ 40000/- p.m. to ₹ 55000/- p.m. over a period of five years, depending upon length of service/ experience.
Graduate Engineer Trainee - Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) -> Stipend of ₹ 25000/- during the first year of training. Thereafter, they will be graded as Trainee Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with a salary of ₹ 30,000/- p.m. in the second.

Eligibility: (as on 1st July 2016)
Graduate Engineer Trainee - Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) -> Candidates having BE/ B.Tech Degree in Mechanical/ Aeronautical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication Engineering or its equivalent from a Govt. recognised Institute/ University and with a valid GATE score of 80% and higher (75% and higher for SC/ ST/ OBC).
Graduate Engineer Trainee - Engineering Support Services -> Candidates with BE/B.Tech Degree in Mechanical/ Aeronautical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Telecommunications/ Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication/ Industrial/ Production/ Chemical Engineering or its equivalent from a Govt. recognised Institute/ University and with a valid GATE score of 80% and higher (75% and higher for SC/ST/OBC).

Selection Process: The Eligible Candidates, as decided by the Management, would be informed through Air India website on or after 15/11/2016 to appear for an interview for final selection.

How to Apply:  Interested candidates may apply online on or before 15/09/2016. The hard copy of the application duly attached with all testimonials in support of Qualification, GATE score, Age, Original Bank Challan, category (SC/ST/OBC, Ex-servicemen), ID proof (any one of the documents viz. Voter ID card/ Aadhaar card/ Pan Card/ Driving Licence/ Passport) to the Post-box no. 12006, Cossipore Post Office, Kolkata-700002 on or before 30/09/2016.
Applicants applying for more than one post would be required to submit separate online application and Hard copy with the requisite fees. And, therefore, an applicant applying for both "GET- Aircraft Maintenance" and "GET- Engineering Support services" would be required to submit two SBI Bank Challans of Rupees ₹ 2000/- each. (Total ₹ 4000/-). Applicants to deposit the requisite application fee of ₹ 2000/- only through on-line SBI Bank Challan. Applications without the requisite fee would be rejected. SC/ST/Ex-servicemen candidates are exempted from the application fees.
